As new Latvian Leasing Association CEO was chosen SIA „UniCredit Leasing” chairman of the board – Jevgenijs Belezjaks.

„In new position it is important to continue association’s primary operations: supporting Latvian economics, together with the association members establish positive outlook for leasing division as well as initiate discussions with government institutions regarding legislation, legal and taxation regulations that are related to leasing services” – considers association’s CEO Jevgenijs Belezjaks.

„Analysing past years, I can conclude that leasing market in Latvia became stable – after noticeable growth and decrease, there is after crisis recovery now. However, it’s important to keep the recovery going, because it relates to the future economic model, which will influence Latvian leasing area too. It is a great appreciation to be chosen as a CEO of the association. Besides it gives the opportunity to be at the epicentre of all the events in leasing field.” – says Jevgenijs Belezjaks.

New CEO Jevgenijs Belezjaks represents "UniCredit Leasing”, which is leading European asset-financing company and operates in 19 countries. As for the end of 2012 "UniCredit Leasing" total leasing portfolio was 128 million lats. Jevgenijs Belezjaks works at „UniCredt Leasing” since 2000.

Preceding the association and SIA „Hipolīzings” CEO Viesturs Gurtlavs will be Jevgenijs Belezjaks’s advisor.

Changes in the association board structure registered for 15 March 2013.

Latvian Leasing Association was founded in 2000 and includes voluntarily joined nine biggest Latvian leasing companies. The members of the association are SIA "UniCredit Leasing", SIA „Swedbank Līzings”, SIA "Nordea Finance Latvia", SIA "SEB līzings", SIA „Pohjola Finance”, SIA „PrivatLīzings”, SIA „DNB Līzings”, SIA "Citadele līzings un faktorings" un „LKB Līzings”. Total leasing and factoring portfolio in 2012 was 871 million lats.

The association ensures leasing companies’ interests, provides regular statistics summaries about Latvian leasing operation indicator, analysing market tendencies both in general and separately as well as taking care of its availability for Latvian society.
