Summary of statistics data from Latvian Leasing association claims that in comparison with 2011, last year (2012) the amount of new lease purchase was increased by 14.5% - the amount of new lease purchase in 2011 was 367 million lats, but in 2012 – 420.3 million lats.

In the end of 2012 total Latvian leasing portfolio was 803, 94 lats. Comparing to the end of the year in 2011, portfolio slightly decreased – by 1, 1%. Analysing purchased amount by asset form, the biggest fall was in real estate area. Nevertheless, in comparison to the end of 2011, last year the car leasing and commercial transport leasing area was increasing – 18,7% and 17,5% respectively. Throughout the year new car leasing agreements were contracted for 123, 4 million lats, equipment leasing – 115.8 million lats, real estate leasing – 119 thousands lats, other – 22.3 million lats.

Factoring portfolio in the end of 2012 was 67, 4 million lats, which is 3, 6% more than in the end of 2011.

In general, last year leasing and factoring portfolio in Latvia reached 971.4 million lats. In comparison to the end of 2011, this was not anything of a big change, because it even decreased by 0.8 per cent.
